Below is an interview with Josh Glendenning, the Head Golf Professional at Wild Rock Golf Club. The following are a few traditional and non traditional golf centric questions that I love to ask influential people in the golf industry.
Can you provide our readers a brief biography?
I attended the Golf Academy of America in Phoenix and graduated in the Fall of 2006 with an Associates Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. I was elected to membership with the PGA in April 2014.
When did you start golfing and who introduced you to the game?
I started playing when I was 9 years old, my mother introduced me to the game.
What is your current home course?
Wild Rock Golf Club
To date, what is your proudest golf accomplishment?
Being elected to membership with the PGA. Its a lot of time and work and I'm proud to say that I accomplished it.
What is your biggest golf pet peeve on or off the course?
Ball Marks on greens. They're easy to fix and everyone has had to putt over one before.
What is your favorite club in your bag and why?
Putter, it is where you can put a lot of pressure on your opponent during a match.
What is your favorite golf destination?
Kohler, WI so many great golf courses in one area.
What course is on your bucket list that you have not played yet?
Augusta National, isn't that everyone's?
If you woke up tomorrow and could play one course you played before, where would you play?
Stone Eagle Golf Club in Palm Springs.
If you could change one aspect, rule or thing about golf, what would it be and why?
To simplify the rules. I think that the rules can tend to scare people away from playing the game and also from playing any competitive tournaments or outings.
