The course layout, much of which is over a century old, is a test that demands accuracy, rewards a good shot, and is deceivingly long. As challenging as it is picturesque, Rolling Hills stretches over 6500 yards from the back tees, but often feels like it's playing longer than that. The par 71 layout sports a more difficult than par 71.9 course rating.

Five sets of tees allow the course to be played from as short as 4,800 yards or as challenging as 6,500 yards. The lush, bent grass tee boxes, the striped fairways featuring mainly bent grass, and the perfectly-manicured bent grass greens offer smooth playing surfaces each and every time you tee it up. La Belle Creek meanders across over a third of the holes, gathering up any errant shot.

Tree-lined fairways dictate that you keep the ball in play, and sculpted greenside bunkers and well-positioned fairway traps force you to keep the driver straight, and your iron play sharp.

Seven of the nine original holes date back to 1896, and remain on the back nine. This inward nine also features the club's signature hole, the diabolical 232 yard par-three thirteenth. Its treacherous distance, uphill climb, and small green can make par very unlikely. Par 36 on the front side, and par 35 on the back, shooting a good score on this course requires your very best.
