Book - Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds

Six-book Set Chronicles the History of Kohler and the Game

Each of the golf courses in the Kohler quintet has a story to tell. "Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds" is discovery, a coffee table compendium of six books complete with anecdotes, quotes, historical accounts and stunning photography from the four Pete Dye courses near the Village of Kohler, Wisconsin, to the celebrated bunkers and vistas of The Duke's in St. Andrews, Scotland.

"Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds" features the 148-page story book that recounts the company's surprising entry into the golf industry in 1988 with the opening of Blackwolf Run, to the declaration by Golf Magazine in 2000 that it was Americas #1 golf resort, leading up to present day as the host-hotel of two of golf's four majors - The Old Course Hotel for The Open Championship in St. Andrews, Scotland, and The American Club for the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Written by John Steinbreder, the author of 10 books - six on golf - and a former writer and reporter for magazines such as Golf Digest and Sport Illustrated, "Golf Kohler: In The New and Old Worlds" makes full use of vintage maps, archival photos, and hundreds of hours of research and interviews to capture the flavor of Pete Dye and Herb Kohler and the courses they built. The book serves as a tribute to the richness of the game and rare enhancement of the environment.

The story book is accompanied by five books with impactful imagery dedicated to each Kohler golf course -

- the River at Blackwolf Run in Wisconsin

- the Meadow Valleys at Blackwolf Run in Wisconsin

- the Straits at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin

- the Irish at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin

- THE Duke's at The Old Course Golf Resort & Spa in Scotland

The title "Golf Kohler: In the New and Old Worlds" encapsulates the company's unexpected role in the sport on both sides of the Atlantic.

A soft cover edition of the set is available for $97.50 and a very limited edition autographed hardcover version is available for $149.95. The soft cover can be purchased at various retail locations in the Village of Kohler, the hotels, and the golf courses in Kohler, Wisconsin and St. Andrews, Scotland. The book is also available online at www.KOHLERatHome.com. The hardcover edition can be purchased by calling Josue Reyes at 920-803-3018.
