Apostle Highlands is located 500 feet above Lake Superior's south shore and offers panoramic views of Chequamegon Bay, Madeline Island and the shoreline all the way to upper Michigan.

The beautiful blue waters of Lake Superior, the world's largest body of fresh water, can be seen from 13 of the 18 holes.

What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
Hole number one is the signature hole that has players teeing across a small replica of Lake Superior. A successful drive confers bragging rights, where else can you tell your friends you drove your ball across Lake Superior.

Hole # 3 is our most photographed hole, people get memorized by the views. We have been called the Pebble Beach of the north.

What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It? Hole # 15 is the highest point on the golf course.

Hole # 15 named DEVIL'S Island
Although, this hole is entirely uphill, it is your best opportunity to hit the fairway and make a good score. Your approach will be important. The green is small and two-tiered.

Must Have Dish or Drink after the round at the 19th Hole?
We remodeled our clubhouse in 2011 with a full bar overlooking hole # 9. Enjoy a drink on our new patio or underneath our new open air pavilion which is also perfect for weddings or private parties.

Who Holds Course Record and What Was Their Score?
Wes Hansen holds the course record, he shot a 31 on the front and a 33 on the back nine for a total of 64.
