The Golf Courses of Lawsonia offer two distinct championship golf courses. The famed Links, designed by Langford and Moreau, perennially mentioned as one of the top 100 public and top 100 classic golf courses in the country and the highly regarded Woodlands. The Links is known for its' deep fescue, penal bunkers, and huge, slick, undulated putting surfaces, while the Woodlands is widely appreciated for its' tree-lined fairways, natural beauty, and abundant wildlife.

If Someone Was Looking To Golf In The Area, Why Should They Play Your Course?
Lawsonia offers 36 holes of championship golf, Langford's Pub - a full service bar and restaurant open daily, along with some great lodging options for stay-and-play packages.

What Tips or Local Knowledge Would You Provide To Help Them Score Better At Your Course?
Keep the ball in the fairway. At just under 6600 yards from the tips, the Woodlands doesn't place a premium on distance off the tee. Find a club (it doesn't have to be driver) or "go to" shot that you can hit where you are looking to avoid the heavily wooded areas lining the entire golf course. Tee shots that find the fairway will leave a lot of mid and short irons into very playable putting surfaces and provide a great opportunity to post a solid round.

Recent Awards or What You Are Most Proud About The Course?
I think we are most proud of how well the Woodlands stands on its own. The Links course garners most of the national attention, but I can't tell you how many people come to Green Lake just to play the Woodlands. They absolutely love the scenery, wildlife, and "up north" peacefulness of the property.

What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
The most photographed hole is the par 3 3rd. It's 168 yards from the back tee and features an elevated tee box and an 85 foot drop to the green. Immediately to your right on the tee shot is a gorgeous view of Green Lake.

What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It?
My favorite hole is the par 5 7th. It's a great representation of the Woodlands as a whole, lots of strategy involved.

Decision time off the tee, pull driver and bring the pond on the right in play, but have a chance to reach the green in 2, or hit 3 wood and be forced to maneuver a 2nd shot between the bunkers on the well protected fairway in order to leave a wedge into the green. Either way the devilish green is undulated and guarded by bunkers, keep the ball below the hole.

Must Have Dish or Drink after the round at the 19th Hole?
If you are anywhere near Green Lake on a Friday you have to come to Langford's for the Fish Fry, it's phenomenal. For the lunch crowd, the Gourmet Grilled Cheese with any of Rocky's famous soups are a must try.
