Greetings all,

What a fantastic weekend of golf we had! It was wonderful to see so many faces out on the course enjoying some late winter warmer weather.

I wanted to take the opportunity to share what our fantastic team has been working on all winter long, as well as some exciting updates to look forward to this season.

Inside the Clubhouse, you will be delighted to see that the Men's Locker Room bathroom has been remodeled, in addition to the bathroom that is accessible off of our Banquet facility. We know this was needed, so I am happy to report this update!

Our Golf Course maintenance staff has been working hard throughout the winter months sharpening the blades on all course equipment to ensure the best possible course conditions for our members and guests this season. We are proud to maintain some of the best greens in Wisconsin!

As many of you noticed this past weekend, our golf cart fleet was a bit thin - but for good reason! We are excited to replace our existing fleet with brand new Club Car carts this season! A portion just arrived this week and the rest will follow! Be prepared to ride in style this season!

We had many new faces join our team over the last few months and are looking to expand! Muskego Lakes is hiring for several positions including Pro Shop attendants, Bag Drop services, waitstaff and Kitchen staff. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please have them email their position(s) of interest to General Manager, Helen Runjo at hrunjo@muskegolakes.com.

There are a couple of off-property updates to share as well! Be on the lookout as you make your way to the Club as there will be a brand new sign erected on Highway 36 over the coming weeks, as well as, a newly paved road to welcome you to the Club!

Finally, as you may have seen in your recent emails, we have opened registration for two of our most popular Weekend Scrambles! Access to details and registration is below. The Season Kick-Off Scramble (aka "The Rusty Open") is on Sunday, April 24th and the 2-Person Flighted Scramble is Sunday, May 29th. These will fill up quickly over the next couple of weeks, so get your teams in early!

The team at Muskego Lakes strives to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and will continue to work toward additional updates and enhancements throughout the season. Please know I am always happy to discuss any questions or feedback you may have, so please feel free to reach me anytime at jojan@muskegolakes.com.

Here's to another fantastic season at MLCC, I look forward to seeing you soon.

About: Brian Weis

Brian Weis Brian Weis is the mastermind behind GolfTrips.com, a vast network of golf travel and directory sites covering everything from the rolling fairways of Wisconsin to the sunbaked desert layouts of Arizona. If there’s a golf destination worth visiting, chances are, Brian has written about it, played it, or at the very least, found a way to justify a "business trip" there.

As a card-carrying member of the Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA), International Network of Golf (ING), Golf Travel Writers of America (GTWA), International Golf Travel Writers Association (IGTWA), and The Society of Hickory Golfers (SoHG), Brian has the credentials to prove that talking about golf is his full-time job. In 2016, his peers even handed him The Shaheen Cup, a prestigious award in golf travel writing—essentially the Masters green jacket for guys who don’t hit the range but still know where the best 19th holes are.

Brian’s love for golf goes way back. As a kid, he competed in junior and high school golf, only to realize that his dreams of a college golf scholarship had about the same odds as a 30-handicap making a hole-in-one. Instead, he took the more practical route—working on the West Bend Country Club grounds crew to fund his University of Wisconsin education. Little did he know that mowing greens and fixing divots would one day lead to a career writing about the best courses on the planet.

In 2004, Brian turned his golf passion into a business, launching GolfWisconsin.com. Three years later, he expanded his vision, and GolfTrips.com was born—a one-stop shop for golf travel junkies looking for their next tee time. Today, his empire spans all 50 states, and 20+ international destinations.

On the course, Brian is a weekend warrior who oscillates between a 5 and 9 handicap, depending on how much he's been traveling (or how generous he’s feeling with his scorecard). His signature move" A high, soft fade that his playing partners affectionately (or not-so-affectionately) call "The Weis Slice." But when he catches one clean, his 300+ yard drives remind everyone that while he may write about golf for a living, he can still send a ball into the next zip code with the best of them.

Whether he’s hunting down the best public courses, digging up hidden gems, or simply outdriving his buddies, Brian Weis is living proof that golf is more than a game—it’s a way of life.
