Description

Welcome to Koshkonong Mounds Country Club - Fort Atkinson's only 18 hole golf course and premier membership facility. Our club is nestled in the rolling hills alongside the beautiful eastern shores of historic Lake Koshkonong. Lake Koshkonong, named by the area's native Winnebago tribes, means "These waters we live on" and we are proud to continue to uphold the traditions and visions of our historic past.

Koshkonong Mounds Country Club was originally built as a resort in 1870 to host affluent sportsmen who could afford to hunt and fish these legendary waters. This area was once known to be one of the premier duck hunting destinations in the entire United States. In 1922, the initial golf course construction took place, utilizing many of the native effigy mounds as navigational hazards. After two short years, the new course opened for play in the summer of 1924.

With an additional nine holes opening in the summer of 1981, Koshkonong Mounds Country Club became what it is today - a true, honest test for golfers of all abilities. As the facility continues to grow, we look to our past for inspiration and to our future for aspiration. We will always honor these hallowed grounds in which we walk. Enjoy the game!

Every weekend, something exciting is going on at Koshkonong Mounds Country Club! With an event space overlooking beautiful Lake Koshkonong just south of Fort Atkinson, your event is sure to be one to remember! Our club is just 15 miles from Janseville, Wisconsin. It may be a wedding, a class reunion, a company outing, or a retirement party.
