Long but yet playable

I play the Island course regularly . And I have to admit the course is in fantastic shape. What I really love about both the Island and the Falls course is the Bent grass fairways. It's one of the very few courses in the Milwaukee area that has Bent grass. Most other courses if you look down at the grass when it's cut short you can see soil between the blades of grass. With the Bent grass being well just that, the blades of grass fold over and you can not see any dirt when looking down. The ball always sits up nice and high on the Bent grass fairways . Making it almost like hitting off a mat. The course is currently in the best shape it has been in in the last 4 years. Greens are rolled on a regular basis and seem to run med-med fast.
If you normally golf County courses this course is worth a try just to hit off the Bent grass.
Oh yea, they have some management changes over the last couple of years and it seems to working out for the better.
